Recently, the rating results of authoritative fund rating agencies have been released, and China Merchants Securities announced the results of fund manager ratings for the second quarter of 2022. GF Fund Management and other nine fund companies obtained "comprehensive investment ability five-star rating" in terms of three-year performance as of 24 June, 2022. It is worth noting that in the same period, GF Fund Management also received a “three-year comprehensive 5A rating” from another authoritative institution, Tian Xiang Investment Consulting Fund Evaluation Center.
China Merchants Securities announced the results of the second quarter fund ratings for 2022 simultaneously. Ten of GF's products received a three-year five-star rating from China Merchants Securities, while five-year and ten-year five-star ratings were also awarded. The five-star products involve balanced hybrid funds, active open-ended equity funds, partial equity hybrid funds, convertible bond funds, equity ETFs, equity index funds and other types, with one partial equity hybrid fund receiving a three-year, five-year and 10-year five-star rating at the same time.
China Merchants Securities fund evaluation standards show that fund ratings follow long-term oriented principles and focus on the fund's ability to sustain returns. The ratings of active open-end equity funds, open-end hybrid funds, active open-end bond funds, FOFs and long-short equity funds reflect the fund's return and risk characteristics over the past three years; the ratings of index funds reflect the fund's ability to track the underlying index and enhance returns over the past three years.
On this basis, the evaluation of fund management companies is based on quantitative analysis, with objective and fair evaluation through three indicators: performance, size and team. When calculating the performance indicators, different performance indicators are used to evaluate the investment capability of each secondary classification product. In the comprehensive investment ability index rating, the three major indicators, such as active equity investment ability, active bond investment ability and passive investment ability, account for 50%, 30% and 20% respectively, i.e. 80% of the inspection is active management ability.
