"2021 Fund Earnings List" released, GF Fund Management Co.,ltd. topped the list with 35.2 billion yuan

In 2021, the A-share market experienced ups and downs, the differentiation of sectors industries intensifies, and it became more difficult to make money. The public funds have achieved good returns for investors. Recently, Tianxiang Investment Consulting compiled the 2021 market-wide fund profit list, showing to the outside world the ability of public funds to create returns for investors.
The fund profit data collected by Tianxiang Investment Consulting this time is divided into 5 lists, of which 4 lists the profitability of all funds, non-monetary funds, equity funds, and active equity funds of fund companies in the whole market from the perspective of fund companies, and another lists the profitability of single fund.
The list data shows that 176 fund management companies achieved a total profit of 729.33 billion yuan for investors in 2021. Among them, 25 fund companies realized a profit of more than 10 billion yuan for investors in 2021. GF Fund Management Co.,ltd, Tianhong Asset Management Co., Ltd, and Fullgoal Fund Management Co.,ltd achieved annual profits of 35.282 billion yuan, 32.739 billion yuan, and 30.192 billion yuan respectively, ranking the top three in the industry. They are also the only three fund companies with profits exceeding 30 billion yuan.
After excluding monetary funds, the profit list of fund companies has changed slightly. 17 fund companies have achieved profits of over 10 billion yuan for investors, and GF Fund Management Co.,ltd still ranked first, with a profit of 25.051 billion yuan, Fullgoal Fund Management Co.,ltd and Guotai Asset Management Co., Ltd ranked second and third, with profits of 24.648 billion yuan and 21.078 billion yuan respectively.
If we focus on equity products (including active equity fund and passive equity fund), 10 companies have achieved profits of more than 10 billion yuan, and the top three are Guotai Asset Management Co., Ltd, GF Fund Management Co.,ltd, and Fullgoal Fund Management Co.,ltd, with annual profits of 18.304 billion yuan, 18.23 billion yuan and 17.851 billion yuan respectively. If the passive funds are excluded, Huaan, ABC-CA, and GF make the most money for the investors, with earned profit of 12.957 billion yuan, 12.55 billion yuan, and 11.853 billion yuan respectively.
It is worth noting that among the above four profit lists, GF's profitability all ranks among the top three. while among all funds and non-monetary funds, GF’s profitability ranks first; in the list of equity funds and active equity funds, it ranks second and third respectively.
According to the analysis by a third-party research institution, the profits realized by fund companies for investors relates to two factors: one is the asset management scale, and the other is the fund performance. Fund companies with large asset management scale and better performance should be at the top of the list in terms of profitability.
