On November 29, the Guangdong Securities Regulatory Bureau held a commendation meeting for outstanding investor education activities and works in Guangdong Province, as well as an investor education work symposium. GF Fund was honored with four awards.
This year's collection and selection event for outstanding investor education activities and products, guided by the Guangdong Securities Regulatory Bureau and organized by the Guangdong Securities and Futures Industry Association, Guangdong Listed Companies Association, and Guangdong Fund Industry Association, solicited submissions from the market and formed a judging panel to evaluate numerous investor education activities and products.
After a comprehensive evaluation, GF Fund's productions "The Daily Life of Fund Customer Service" and "Anti-Fraud Mini-Theater" won first prize for outstanding investor education products. "Little Red Bean Talks About Retirement Funds" won second prize, and GF Fund's 2022 "One Company, One Province, One University" series of investor education activities received the second prize for outstanding investor education activities.
During the symposium, GF Fund shared its experience and insights in investor education, focusing on building online education platforms, extending the reach of investor education services, creating differentiated investor education IPs, organizing unique investor education events, and operating online communities and groups.
GF Fund, as a large asset management company, has always been an active participant and important practitioner in investor education. They have consistently adhered to the concept of "investor-centric, easy-to-understand, practical, and progressive" education, dedicated to popularizing financial and investment knowledge and guiding investors towards a scientific and rational investment mindset.
In October 2021, GF Fund formally established a one-stop comprehensive investor education platform, "GF Fund Investor Education Base" (referred to as "Investor Education Base"), serving as a content hub for the entire chain of investor education. To date, the base has launched over 1,900 investor education works, with a cumulative visit count exceeding 6.38 million.
In terms of investor education services, the GF Fund Investor Education Base has built a multi-level system encompassing pre-investment, during investment, and post-investment, continuously introducing customized content to meet the learning needs of different groups. It has a regular presence on eight major new media platforms, offering differentiated and engaging audio and video content, planning a variety of online events, and extending the reach of investor education services in collaboration with mainstream platforms.
Focusing on the differentiated needs of various groups, the investor education team at GF Fund aims to help investors understand the market and risks, while also discerning their true financial needs and guiding them towards rational and clear-headed investing.
This year, the Investor Education Base has focused on comprehensive capital markets topics such as the full registration system, personal retirement funds, fraud prevention, and sustainable investment. It has launched a variety of popular science content to enhance investors' market awareness and understanding. For example, they created a three-part creative short film "Registration System! So Cool!" to explain the advantages of the registration system. They also released an educational animation about personal retirement funds, a micro-movie on fraud prevention, and a comic-long picture explaining the concept and development status of ESG investing.
Considering the differences in age, financial literacy, and investment experience among various investor groups, the Investor Education Base actively develops customized educational content and activities, tailoring its approach to enhance the effectiveness of investor education.
For the youth demographic, the Investor Education Base has been actively promoting the integration of financial education into the national education system. Online, it developed the lightweight course "The First Lesson in Finance for Young People". Offline, it conducted financial literacy activities in places like Zhanjiang City's Second Kindergarten and Guangzhou's Panyu Ping'er Village. It also collaborated with university clubs to hold themed creative competitions and lectures.
For the middle-aged and elderly groups, the investor education team focuses on sharing anti-fraud knowledge and dispelling investment misconceptions. Since the beginning of the year, they have conducted numerous special lectures on fraud prevention in communities and universities.
For working professionals, the Investor Education Base customizes financial lectures based on individual and family needs, sharing knowledge on fund investment, family asset allocation, and personal retirement funds in various companies and universities.
In addition to updating its content system, GF Fund continually innovates and expands its investor education formats, striving to make learning enjoyable and educational. For example, combining different investor education IPs through audio, video, and live broadcasts to disseminate knowledge in an engaging and memorable way. The "GF Fund Little Red Bean" and "Fund Customer Service Xiao Su" IPs have been particularly successful, with their series like "The Daily Life of Fund Customer Service" and "Little Red Bean Talks About Retirement Funds" being selected for the Guangdong jurisdiction's list of outstanding works. They also collaborate with popular platforms to attract a broader audience.
Furthermore, GF Fund has planned and executed numerous special events to enhance investors' learning interest and efficiency. This year, they have organized 188 online events, including classic competitions like the "Red Bean Cup" simulation investment challenge, and rewarding quiz activities such as the "Mountain Exploration Camp." Offline events adopt a "lecture plus" approach, combining professional knowledge talks with corresponding fun activities like creative markets, themed board games, "World Coffee" collaborative discussions, traditional fan crafting, and heritage bamboo boat DIY workshops, to engage investors more actively.
The head of the GF Fund investor education team stated that they will continue to remember the original intention of inclusive finance. In terms of content, they will insightfully address investors' pain points, providing rich, professional, and long-term companionship. In terms of form, they will align with the preferences of various investor groups, launching more popular and well-received investor education activities. This will help enhance the public's financial literacy and contribute to high-quality economic and social development.
